During our recent stay at Thornham Rooms At the Chequers, I enjoyed a blissful blend of comfort and charm, making it a perfect retreat for our active adventures along the stunning North Norfolk coast. The room was refreshingly clean and tastefully set up, complete with ESPA toiletries and a comfy bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. Plus, their dog-friendly policy meant our lurcher felt right at home too! The pub downstairs was a lovely spot to unwind after long walks through the nearby Holme Dunes reserve, where we spotted a variety of bird species. While the atmosphere was welcoming, I found the Sunday lunch to be less than spectacular-competent service but the roast chicken lacked the usual care, sadly overshadowing our dining experience this time around. Despite that, the setting of this historic inn, surrounded by coastal paths and rich with history, left us excited to return for another adventurous getaway!
